On October 10th, the GMS Committee (chair : Mr. TANAKA Mitsuaki, Itochu (Thailand) Ltd.) held a meeting to discuss the destination for inspection in 2025. They decided to inspect route from Laos to Hanoi in Vietnam, using the newly opened Thailand-Laos Fifth Friendship Bridge over the Mekong River, as well as logistics-related facilities. This inspection was scheduled to take place around January to February 2026.
